Bio

Jackson is fourth-year undergraduate student at UC Davis, double majoring in Community and Regional Development and Political Science. He will be obtaining a Master of City Planning at UC Berkeley beginning in Fall 2024. Jackson is interested in researching how to foster effective connectivity between transit modes to expand the reach of public transit across all types of trips. He previously worked on a research project at the National Center for Sustainable Transportation that analyzed the effectiveness of regional planning documents published by Metropolitan Planning Organizations at linking transit and land use strategies. He is currently conducting a study that analyzes the disparate impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on different transit agencies in the United States, with an additional focus on what those agencies are doing to boost ridership and avoid making service cuts.
