The third annual Transit Research Symposium highlighted transit research done and currently working on at the UC Davis Institute of Transportation Studies Transit Research Center. The morning consisted of presentations surrounding microtransit in the US and abroad, micromobility and public transit, as well as transit access and development. The afternoon workshops consisted of public transit stakeholders, practitioners, policy makers, and researchers discussed topics around public transit centered around the following areas:
- Achieving VMT Reduction through Bold Transit Initiatives
- Davis as a Living Learning Lab
- Fare Free Transit, Transit Passes, and Mobility Wallets
- Making Transit Work for All
Participants engaged in conversation about various research needs. Overall, the symposium provided a great space for collaboration and education about recent transit research.
