Bio

Weijing Wang is a postdoctoral scholar at UC Berkeley SafeTREC, where she researches the intersection of transportation, safety, and justice. Her work helps state governments evaluate and improve the safety, sustainability, and equity outcomes of transportation policies and programs. Prior to her doctoral studies, Weijing served as a transportation planner for the Louisville Metro Government in Kentucky, leading the implementation of the Vision Zero initiative and the Safe System approach. Before that, she worked as a statewide transportation planner at the Michigan Department of Transportation. Weijing holds a Ph.D. in Transportation Technology and Policy from the University of California, Davis, and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from Michigan State University.
