Bio

Dr. Reid Passmore (he/him) is a Researcher / Planner II at Safe Streets Research and Consulting, LLC. He brings five years of bicycle transportation research experience using GIS, data science, and network routing to help clients address traffic safety issues through systemic safety and connectivity analyses. Through his work as a researcher and an ORISE Active Transportation Data Fellow at the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, Reid has become proficient with wrangling and developing insights from network and trajectory data. Living a car-free lifestyle himself, Reid strives to work towards a transportation system that provides dignity and safety to all that walk, bike, roll, or take transit.

Reid earned his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA. Reid recently relocated from Davis, CA to Portland, OR.
