PhD Student
Sifat is a PhD student and Graduate Student Researcher at Institute of Transport Studies, University of California Davis. Before joining UC Davis, He completed my Bachelor's in Urban and Regional Planning and Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and Masters in Geography and Masters in Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering from The University of Alabama, USA. His research is mostly focused on urban transportation planning, particularly the applications of statistical, GIS-based and qualitative tools for transportation equity, public transportation planning, road safety and travel behavior analysis. Sifat is interested in multi-disciplinary research to explore the nexus between transportation science with disaster management, environmental management, social science etc. As a PhD student, he is investigating the nexus between mobility challenges faced by people with disability and their travel behavior in the USA under the supervision of Jesus M Barajas.
