Favorite Transit System: ransmiCable (Transmilenio’s cable car), London Bus system, Tokyo Metro
I'm a Ph.D candidate at the Institute of Transport Studies (ITS) at UC Davis. I did my undergrad in Civil Engineering and have a master's degree in engineering with an emphasis on Transportation from the University of Los Andes, Colombia, and a master's degree in Urban Development Planning from University College London. Before joining UC Davis, I was working as an Advisor to the Secretary of Mobility in Bogota. I have over 10 years of experience in transportation planning, especially in Colombia, where I worked in both the public and private sectors, as well as in academia. My research interests focus on planning sustainable transportation (public transit and active modes) policies and projects, striving to keep people (users) in the center in order to have more inclusive and equitable modes of transportation, especially for women and underserved communities.
