Kevin is a first-generation Master's student from Tracy California, he has a B.A. in Sociology from the University of California Santa Barbara and a minor in History and Applied Psychology. His research has focused on how people interact and communicate with artificial and natural environments this past work has now translated to his current research which is focused on the impacts of hard infrastructure on lower socioeconomic populations and how they are disproportionately affected by transportation policy. His thesis work aims to explore this topic more by looking at the air quality impacts of highway expansions and identifying which populations are more impacted by highway capacity increases. Kevin aims to continue this work by pursuing a Ph.D. within the Transportation Technology and Policy Graduate Group.
