Eilish is pursuing a master’s degree in Transportation Technology and Policy at UC Davis. She is conducting research with Dr. Kari Watkins on global high speed rail systems to understand behavioral change following newly added lines. Having grown up in rural Tennessee and lived in the rural Czech Republic during a Fulbright grant, Eilish is passionate about connecting underserved communities to opportunity via transit. She is particularly interested in complete communities, transit-oriented development, and regional rail systems. Eilish received a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Economics with a minor in GIS from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she completed an honors thesis on measuring transit accessibility levels to social, cultural, and recreational destinations.
